The iPhone Duo Is Here. Here Is What It Actually Changes for Your Business.
Apple's first folding iPhone is here, and the honest story is not the hype. Your website now lives on a screen that changes shape, and AI now sits between your site and your customer. Here is what that actually changes, what we tested, and what we are not claiming.

Apple's first folding iPhone goes on sale today. The iPhone Duo starts at $1,999, opens into a 7.6-inch display, and runs an iOS 27 that was rebuilt to fold with it. You have probably seen the keynote clips.
Here is what we are not going to do: tell you this changes everything, tell you your business is doomed if you ignore it, or sell you a panic upgrade. A $1,999 phone sells to early adopters first. Your customers are not all unfolding their phones today.
Here is what it actually changes, and why we have spent the last month getting ready for it.
Your website now lives on a screen that changes shape.
This is the real story. A customer can open your site on the Duo's outer display, unfold the phone mid-scroll, and keep reading on a screen twice as wide. Or they can run your site next to another app in Split View, at half width, while they compare you to a competitor.
Most business websites were built assuming a phone screen is one fixed size. That assumption just expired. If your layout breaks at unusual widths, Duo owners will see it break. If your tap targets sit where the phone's crease folds, customers will struggle to tap them. These are not exotic edge cases. They are Tuesday afternoon for anyone holding this phone.
AI now sits between your website and your customer.
The Duo ships with Apple Intelligence and a rebuilt Siri that can sit side by side with whatever your customer is reading. On-device AI will summarize web pages, answer questions from page content, and pull facts into conversation.
That means the sloppy paragraph you never rewrote is now the paragraph an AI summarizes for your customer. Clear headings, factual sentences, and correct structured data are no longer nice to have. They are what determine whether the AI's version of your business is accurate.
What we did about it.
We are a small team in Plano, Texas, and we build AI agents that handle website content, security, accessibility, search visibility, and reporting for real businesses. When Apple announced the Duo on September 9, we started preparing all five for it. Not with hype. With a checklist.
Our accessibility agent now tests against the new viewport sizes and folding postures, because WCAG conformance (web accessibility rules) does not pause for new hardware. Our content agent checks that headlines and calls to action (the prompts that encourage users to act) survive narrow, wide, and half-width screens, and stay clear of the fold region. Our security agent tests login flows in Split View, where two windows of the same site run side by side. Our search agent tightened structured data and FAQ content, because that is what AI answers are built from. Our reporting agent made sure our own dashboards render at every new size, because we will not ask clients to accept reports we would not accept ourselves.
We started with our own site. It goes through the full Duo battery before any client site does.
What we are not claiming.
We have not declared anything "Duo certified." There is no such certification, and anyone selling you one is selling you a sticker. We report what we tested, on which screen sizes, against which standards. That is it.
We also do not know how fast this phone spreads. At this price, it will take time. We are preparing now so that when your customers do unfold their phones, your business is ready, and so that the standards we build for the Duo make your site better on every phone your customers already own.
The honest version.
New hardware does not reward the businesses that panic. It rewards the businesses whose fundamentals were already solid: a site that works at any size, content that says what it means, and someone checking the work. The Duo is a new test of old virtues.
We will keep publishing what we find as we test on the actual device, starting today. No predictions presented as facts. Just results.
If you want your site run through the same battery we run on ours, you know where to find us.
